I think it'll end up being legit.

They can't do anything until they actually own Activision. Which won't happen until next year. By then they both probably know that at the very least the dev kits for whatever Nintendo's system is working on will be out there. This 10 year deal probably doesn't even really start for releases until like 2025 or 2026. Probably when the Playstation one expires.

From what I understand Modern Warfare 2 2022 (lol) runs just fine on the Steam Deck. By using that sort of level as their base and going up from there will work fine. Call of Duty aren't super ambitious games really and still overall play like they did in the 360 era outside of Warzone. Combine that with Call of Duty needing short development times anyway and you're overall looking at a business model that makes sense.

Of course cloud gaming is possible but Nintendo had negotiating power here. Would be pretty stupid of them to agree to that or something like COD Mobile.

The other dumb thing for Sony is they also have a lot of bargaining power here. Want guaranteed ports of Bethesda games on top of COD? Fucking now is your chance idiots. Microsoft are desperate for this to go through.
