He doesn't need the ears to hear, it's for decoration only. A mouse chewed off his ears and he got a phobia ever since. Also he was yellow when first created (in-universe)

I'm strangely comforted by the fact that there is an in-universe explanation for the lack of ears.

#595: Trilok Gurtu - Tac, et demi [6:35]:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U38WvJviv8w

Nominator: cakophon [13/20 Remaining]

Initial Score: 56.15
Revised Score: 55.499
Final Score: 56.30

(First Reaction: I'm usually not a fan of songs that are heavily focused on drums or percussion instruments in general, so the first two and a half minutes of the song are not something that appeals to me at all. It then transitions into something poppier for a few minutes and I kinda like that part, then it gets a bit... weird and bubbly in a way that I quite like for a bit, and finally ends with a section that's somewhere between the Pop & Weird sections (that is somehow not as good as either of them separately).

I'm really not sure how much I enjoyed it, but I'd say my general feelings are positive. They'd be more positive without that opening sequence, but the song turns around enough that it's not that big of a deal )

!The bubbly, aquatic feeling part is great but the other parts of this musical journey don't really resonate with me.

[Final Thoughts: I'm still not a fan of the first two minutes of this song and doubt I ever will be--it's just not my type of music, I'm afraid. On the plus side, that's less than half the song's runtime, and it goes places after that. I really like that bubbly portion and the part that immediately preceeds it is also rather nifty; the last section is... not quite for me either though, which makes my enjoyment of the song hard to quantify as I have strong & conflicting opinions on all of its phases. I think we'll just say that I kinda like this and move on? It's certainly different.]

#594: AEW, Jaycee Clark - Legitimate (2:36):
https://open.spotify.com/track/0zQS4BW0QOCkctoSyt4j2e?si=dc7725a54c4e4625

Nominator: CPU [20/30 Remaining]

Initial Score: 51.00
Revised Score: 53.70
Final Score: 56.33

(First Reaction: Not a bad theme.

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE ME
YOU CAN HIDE BUT THERE'S NO CHANCE YOU'LL BREAK AWAY

Not sure why the official lyrics are ALL CAPS, but there's some nice almost villainous lyrics at that point.)

A fine theme with decent lyrics, though not one that gets me especially hyped or excites me to learn more about the wrestler. This feels like an "upper midcarder" theme; it's got enough quality that you know she isn't a jobber, but it isn't exactly a "this is designed to get a massive pop the second it hits" banger. Not that there's anything wrong with that... personally, I still miss McIntyre's Broken Dreams theme which was way too subdued to make a good wrestling theme, but was certainly more enjoyable to listen to on its own.

...though that was an unrelated detour, as usual. I apologize. I think the issue is that the singer is trying to yell, but her voice doesn't have enough power behind it: the clean vocals on the verses are nice, but when she tries to yell "MY GRIND IS LEGITIMATE!!" it lacks the intensity to actually sell Leyla as a badass. And that is what opens & closes the track, so it's a bit hard to get past it and focus on the aspects of the song that do work. Still, I do like it somewhat and it's a fine theme. It at least tries to have a signature shout/audio cue to signify Leyla's arrival, so while I don't particularly like said audio cue, it's at least distinct enough to be recognizable & loud enough to be heard over announcers/crowd noise.

[Final Thoughts: Good lyrics and a decent hook. Not at the highest tier of wrestling themes, but I kinda like it.]

#593: Dorian Electra, Village People, Pussy Riot - My Agenda:
https://open.spotify.com/track/4wIA16n4ON8YkU5y8C6uYr?si=274067d59dd0490a

Nominator: Bane [26/38 Remaining]

Initial Score: 58.34
Revised Score: 58.34
Final Score: 56.37

(First Reaction: As a work of satire, it's amusing and I like making fun of Alex Jones & his ilk; as a song, I'm not finding a lot that I enjoy here.)

!I like the idea & trolling Alex Jones is always worth a quick laugh, but I'm not really into much of this musically.

Some nice fursuits in the video.]

[Later: This has possibly my favorite of Dorian Electra's music videos (at least, out of the ones I've seen for this ranking), though I don't think it enhances my enjoyment of the song enough that it'd actually impact the score.]
