Ruvan22 posted... My minor gripe was that Daryl's presence/role was just a.. big red herring?
Oh, I loved him.
Nothing wrong with a good red herring in a mystery, especially when it's a guy as pleasant as Derol.TendoDRM posted... I loved it, about the same as the first movie. Honestly my only problem has destroying the Mona Lisa.
To unpack what I said earlier a bit more,
I think there's a tendency for the abusive and powerful to hide behind tradition, history, and culture. I feel that's what the Mona Lisa represents. "You can't destroy this place I own! The Mona Lisa is in here!" It's the same as people who tie themselves to cultural and/or historical locations and artifacts, demanding respect and reverence for what they surround themselves with as a shield for their own actions. To be perfectly honest,
I was assuming up to the end that there would have been a reveal that the Mona Lisa Bron had was a fake, but for the message, I think it's more important that it was the real one.
