This. People saying it's "not a thing" are using the same kinds of arguments that people use to deny homophobia. Hyper focusing on the "phobia" part of the word and trying to downplay it by saying that no one is afraid of them. There's a ton of discrimination and prejudice that happen strictly due to someone being overweight. It may not be as severe as racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc., but it's absolutely a thing.
