Iirc 1899 had 80mil viewers and was charting in multiple countries and all that. I thought it did well and between that and with Dark preceding it, I didn't even consider 1899 getting the axe. No on really knows, but we do know that Netflix started getting axe hungry with its success of Stranger Things season 1. That was the start of all these Netflix shows that barely got 1 season off getting canceled because they couldn't perform as well as Stranger Things. Basically, Stranger Things was such a success it literally equated Netflix to getting a shit ton of new subscribers, something no other Netflix show could ever replicate. Not even Squid Games (which I believe is still Netflix most viewed show, though I could be wrong) equated to more subscribers. --- DI MOLTO! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
