I'm surprised cigarettes is beating alcohol in this poll (must be denial.) I think alcohol beats tobacco in terms of the harm it can cause. Unless you're only considering how harmful it is to your own body and second hand smoke. Alcohol is much more dangerous.

Its because drinking is socially acceptable. Birthday party? Lets go to the bar. Youre getting married? Lets make a toast. Etc

I was abusing alcohol pretty hard during the pandemic and it nearly ruined my life. Almost lost my job, girlfriend, and family before I decided to get some help. Ive barely had a drink for the almost a year now and its the best decision Ive ever made.

Ive also been a smoker for about 10 years now (trying to kick this habit too) and I know its horrible for me but its my body my choice. When I go out for a smoke I make sure to stay away from everyone because of second hand smoke. As both a smoker and a former drinker I can 100% say alcohol was way worse for me.
