| Kamekguy 02/22/23 8:03:17 PM #63: | To posit a bit on DK's durability (as Jungle Beat is really his only chance to show durability beyond "wahhh a beaver was mean 2 me ;; " ), DK gains HP based on 'beats' in Jungle Beat, earned by him doing cool platforming tricks and eating bananas in stages. He then banks them to fight bosses, serving as his health bar. At Platinum Crest level, DK has accrued about 1200 beats. Getting slugged in the face by apes roughly 1.5 times his size does about 100 beats worth of damage.
