TopicThe Best Picture nominees this year seem to be pretty polarizing.

For the record I haven't seen Tar or All Quiet on the Western Front yet.

I think Top Gun was the only movie everyone I've talked to enjoyed. My wife hated Women Talking while I liked it. I enjoyed Banshees while she hated it (and I've heard a lot of people on both sides in general for that one). I re-watched EEAAO with family and they didn't like it at all while we loved it (and think it's probably going to win). Hated Triangle of Sadness and wasn't a huge fan of The Fabelmans while she loved both. Most people seem to think Avatar and Elvis are at the bottom of the field but even those had their fans.

Every year has movies some people are so-so on while others praise but this year feels like most of them have really strong opinions one way or the other for some reason.
