It's a stereotypical answer but ME3 was mind-bogglingly bad, supposedly the original plot was completely redone despite having been planned out since ME2 as theres lots of random plot threads in 2 that never get acknowledged in 3 and character development do 180s.

3 could have been handled better but I don't think it's necessarily bad. It's just that it was set up to be the best finale ever and ended up just being mid. In terms of betrayed expectations its definitely up there, but it's not like, say, KotOR 2 where the end of the game is blatantly unfinished and the final boss infodumps everything they couldn't get around to before she attacks you.

And speaking of bad endings, holy moly KotOR2. It actually just randomly ends.
