Topic	Being told to play a game a specific way feels "wrong" to me.
adjl 03/24/23 8:03:36 PM #7:	There are really only two cases where it's appropriate to give somebody a hard time for playing a game "wrong": Team games where going significantly off-meta can interfere with other people's ability to have fun (though even then, there's often still plenty of potential for off-meta play to perform just fine, if perhaps less than optimally) Cases where approaching the game differently is likely to make it more enjoyable for the player (though in that case, giving them a hard time isn't going to help much, because that's a time when framing it as helpful advice is more productive) Anything else is just people gatekeeping other people's fun because they have nothing better to do with their lives. --- This is my signature.
