I saw Pro Mode but haven't messed with it at all. I'm pretty clueless with pretty much everything to do with picture taking.

It's really easy.

Lower iso = darker image, more light needed, less noise in the picture
Higher iso = brighter image, less light needed, more noise in picture
Slower shutter speed = brighter image, needs less light, adds motion blur
Higher shutter speed = darker image, needs more light, less motion blur

Pretty much all you need to know. Don't think the pro setting has f/ stops but if it does just look up the "exposure triangle". You can take 1000% better pictures after a few minutes of reading.
