I liked how zero gained different melee weapons, axl actually standing out from X with getting different guns, and X's custom armor thingy being alright. I also wasn't a fan of dividing upgrades like in X5, X6, and X7, so X8 actually fixed that by making them something you just buy with the in-game currency from the shop. The main X8 negative I can think of is the game having a real freaking trashcan of a bike level.
