Complaining about console online sub fees and how it ends up more expensive than keeping a PC gaming updated is a bit overblown.

While the baseline price of ps plus is 59.99, you can regularly find price drops for a year sub throughout the year that can go as low as 30 dollars or just 10 dollars off at 49.99 at sites like cdkeys, amazon, or sony theirselves usually has them on sale for 25 percent off around when the summer of play starts (I think the 25 percent thing via psn just ended on the 12th).

I myself usually wait until they drop around the 30 to 35 dollar range and just buy like 2 or 3 to stack them up. Assuming I spend 35 dollars every year for seven years when I see it for that price (which I have had no problem doing up until now), that comes out to 275 dollars every 7 years. 528.00 dollar PS5 (what I paid for my disc PS5 on release day+tax)+275 dollars=803 dollars total that is going to last me and entire console generation. PCs is comparison, especially if its the one in that pc partpicker link is going to have to get its CPU and GPU upgraded/CPU from every 4 years or more/GPU every 2 to 3 years to play the more demanding games with a reasonable performance as the generation goes on.

At the end of the day yeah, I would of course prefer to pay nothing to play online because who the hell wouldn't, but at the same time finding the subs on discount doesn't exactly come close to all that expensive.
