| adjl 06/14/23 8:01:04 AM #18: | ConfusedTorchic posted... probably not The ideal scenario in my books is that Trump is still able to run, but the GOP chooses DeSantis as their candidate, so Trump runs as an independent because he's a butthurt manchild that wouldn't tolerate being snubbed like that. DeSantis takes the votes from everyone that blindly checks whichever box says "R" and the people that have started favouring him over Trump, Trump takes all the votes from his devotees and the anti-establishment types, and the Democrats get an easy win because minority governments aren't a thing in America. The biggest risk there is that democrat voters overestimate just how easy the win will be and don't turn out in sufficient numbers to take it. --- This is my signature.
