Here is my idea for the new protagonist.

His name is either Aloysius or Fabio. Maybe something else.
He's 19 years old and he's the local snob.
He wear small reading spectacles, a pale brown suit, has short brunette hair with a centre parting and his idle animation is checking his pocket watch.
Hobbies include scoff-laughing at people, overreacting whenever he gets dirt on him and modelling his expensive sweaters.
He volunteers himself to be the leader of the party because he doesn't want anyone else to experience having subordinates. His weapon is a rapier and he takes credit for all of the team's accomplishments.
Because he has a team with him, he often tries to intimidate and bully locals using the perceived numbers advantage. It doesn't work but he refuses to admit any personal shortcomings and keeps trying it.
He has that Family Guy voice, you know the bit where Peter's a pirate and they're chasing that guy in the car? Sounds like that guy.
His move speed is 50% of what Shulk's was.

I spoke to the director of xenogames and he decided to adopt this idea minus few things. Our protagonist is a female Homs named Aurum from colony 3 who's trying to become a bladesmith like her father but due to being a girl his father was not so inclined to give her proper tutoring to become a true bladesmith. A mysterious nopon merchant came across Aurum and told about the legendary blade made by legendary bladesmith hid their knowledge in a hidden temple near her colony. Aurum alongside her childhood friends Ben and Loron embarks on journey to find the hidden treasure buried in the hidden temple
