That's not true. All the liners at that time basically followed the same routes. As I mentioned before, Californian was very near Titanic when she sank. Roughly 6 miles and close enough Californian could see Titanic. If it weren't for the ice field, they could have easily made it to Titanic in 30 minutes.

As I mentioned earlier, WSL even had experience with this system a few years prior when Republic was sunk and the only deaths was from the initial piercing by SS Florida. Two other boats were able to respond timely to rescue everyone. It's important to note the North Atlantic Route was essentially the boat version of Interstate 5. It was HEAVILY trafficked and it took an absurd amount of coincidences for Titanic to sink
