Gonna be my only post in this topic.

First off, I did get moderated, it was the opening post in the topic in which I listed the rules, one of the rules being the one in question here; that no one on my block list (ulti) was allowed to participate. It was a notification only, which resulted in the topic being locked. The moderation was for "trolling." I did not lock the topic myself, though it probably looked like I did given zsig told me to lock the topic upon my exit. But no posts were deleted, I was simply told that I had to allow anyone who wants to participate to do so, and by the time I got to the board after a couple hours break the topic had already been locked. If people don't believe me PM me and I'll happily share you the screenshot of the moderation. And no, I don't believe not listing the rule would have made any difference; all that would've happened instead is that ulti would've realized after week 1 that I wasn't counting his picks and and it would've just blown up then anyway. At which point if I got modded for what I did, then I would've just been modded at that time anyway.

Next up, I understand that it was a reasonable compromise for someone else to post picks on ulti's behalf; I don't care. I'll take the L on that if I have to in public opinion, but that should not be moddable imo. And people make some pretty big assumptions about me that I am petty for having a single, notorious person on my block list. The block list is a feature for a reason, it's stupid and petty yourself to criticize someone for using it in the manner it's intended to be used, especially when I have a grand total of one user blocked. Because spoilers, I didn't block zsig or leon or anyone else in here who thinks I"m petty for using the feature, despite me disagreeing with them on the subject.

Next, I take issue with anyone who thinks the dreaded "discord cabal" was at work here. Talking to you Leon. No one told me to do this, no one influenced my decision on this. Me being a part of the discord does not mean I am incapable of making decisions and formulating thoughts of my own. I didn't join and go durr hurr, this ulti person sounds like he sucks guess he's my enemy now! No, I decided ON MY OWN that I no longer wanted him to participate because of past actions both in the topic and out (Yes he has actually been quite rude to me before in the pickem topic, in case people weren't aware. I graciously allowed him to keep participating after that.) Am I friends with people on the discord? Sure! But if that means I'm "compromised" then lol.

I also take issue with zsig's handling of this. It is a major weak move for him to A) Act like he's better than me because he allowed ulti to participate during his tenure, which is not something I feel beholden to uphold ("I'm the reason this topic exists in the first place" etc), and B) not running this himself after talking that talk. Several people have mentioned how he then gave the topic to ulti, idgaf about that, really. I take umbrage more with him not running it himself if he thinks he is such a better host than me. And I don't take issue with anyone who chooses to participate in ulti's topic (not that you need my approval anyway), ulti seems enthusiastic about it so like, people blocking him aside I do think he will at least put the effort into it.

Ultimately, if people want to say that I am petty because I wanted to disallow ulti of all people, hey you do you. If that's the hill you want to die on, go for it. But I don't enjoy how I, as the host and the person who was CURRENTLY, not in the past, responsible for running the topic, am supposed to make more sacrifices of my own enjoyment after I already make sacrifices of time and effort of multiple hours a week plugging the picks in, getting the standings in order, etc. Which makes a former host of all people being against me on this even more frustruating, because they more than anyone would understand that this isn't just some 5 minutes a week project. Nope, I'm the bad person for not wanting a noted ****lord in my topic, who again as I noted previously has been an ass to me in the pickem topic before, and clearly that means I will just go on a blocking boner and start banning anyone the moment they talk back to me! Clearly me running this thing fairly for several years means nothing and now I am a terrible host, who according to the mods made the pickem topic in an elaborate ruse to troll ulti.
