I can give the context Emerald got moderated for stating that he would not allow people on his block list to participate in Pick em. So yes Emerald did give up hosting Pickem and from what I can tell he doesn't actually care. However it was off the back of him A. 1. Emerald hosting something, doesn't want to let Ulti in thing that he is hosting.
2. ZeroSignal chimes in offering to post Ulti's picks, says anyone regardless of prior history context should participate. 3. Emerald says that he truly meant he doesn't want Ulti in in any capacity, says ZeroSignal can run it again if he wants. 4. ZeroSignal says "I'll take it back, though I'll be giving it to someone else" and asks Emerald to close the topic. 5. The "someone else" is Ulti, literally the person this whole issue is about. Emerald hosting meant that 1 person could not participate. Ulti hosting likely means that multiple people can't participate unless they unblock Ulti. Asking Emerald to accommodate Ulti was a reasonable request. Asking multiple people to unblock Ulti to participate is a lot less reasonable. I do not have Ulti blocked but Ulti is blocked by so many people due to his own actions. So if anyone has to miss out on participating it should be him rather than anyone who doesn't want to unblock him. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It sounds to me like ZeroSignal posting Ultis picks was a reasonable compromise - nobody should be forced to unblock somebody yet also inheriting a topic series from someone else and totally excluding regular participants against the expressed wishes of the previous host does seem unfair. Letting ZeroSignal post Ultis picks would not exclude a past participant yet allow Emerald to not have to interact with Ulti, a win/win (from my outside perspective, I cannot speak for Emerald). However, getting modded for it is absolutely ridiculous, and ZeroSignal then giving it to Ulti knowing everything is beyond petty and much worse behaviour than what Emerald did.
In other words, doesnt sound like anybody covered themselves in glory here! I hope a reasonable agreement can be reached. --- I just decided to change this sig. Blaaaaaaargh azuarc ... Copied to Clipboard!
