Topic	Why havent we surpass Chrono Trigger?

As someone whose favorite game is CT, there are many games that have surpassed it in many ways. The real reason none of them has surpassed it is we played it when we were younger, most of us. I think if I had played Sea of Stars when I was a kid instead, Id be just as much into that, because in many ways its the better game. Idk, I think nostalgia does play a factor but I don't think, imo, that's the only thing. Like mario and zelda to me both have games as good as better since alttp. I think some 3D sonic games are more intriguing to play than the 2D It just the time concept, the way they tug you back and forth to the past. It was an amazing game. Still is. Let's go into an alternate world where Chrono trigger is made today, let's say in DQ 11 artstyle and that would have been game of the year or a contender. Lukey_Bug posted... Chrono Cross is better.
