Sounds like that would have been the rail companies fault for not prioritizing their workers. Stepping in and going "we can't have a strike because of the economy!" puts the blame on the workers as usual, and keeps up a status quo that barely moves an inch.

Biden did all he could to make sure the corporations and government benefited the most they could without the workers committing fully to the strike. That's not a win.

But since then, union officials says, members of the Biden administration, including the transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, and labor secretary, Marty Walsh, who stepped down on 11 March, lobbied the railroads, telling them it was wrong not to grant paid sick days.
