How about allowing shop classes and other classes for students, so those that are better with their hands can find their passion? We had that at my highschool. Carpentry, Masonry, Automotive and Horticulture. I went through Horticulture route. We did all the landscaping at our school, did turf stuff at the football and baseball fields. Learned an absolute ton about growing plants as we had an awesome greenhouse. The teacher was so cool, too. Had a huge impact on me. Carpentry went out and worked for Habitat for Humanity building houses. Same with Masonry. Automotive had a nice shop and they worked on teachers cars and their own to learn.
