Topic | Its 2023: Where all the futuristic technology? |
NoxObscuras 10/07/23 1:11:32 PM #24: | We obviously haven't advanced at the pace that humanity does in Sci Fi, but we have a lot of cool technology compared to say, the 90's.
Like with mobile phones, this was what they looked like at first https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/7/7/AAQgjdAAE6NB.jpg Cellphones are futuristic as hell compared to that brick. Cars have also advanced a lot. We don't have fully self driving cars yet or anything. But adaptive cruise control maintains a set speed, and it will brake on it's own of it detects a car getting too close ahead. Combine that with lane assist, which auto steers the car to keep it within a lane, and there's really minimal input required from the driver on long drives. And this technology available on Hondas, Toyotas etc., (take that Elon) so we're getting there. --- PSN - NoxObscuras Z490 | i9-10900K | EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra | 32GB DDR4 3600 | 4TB SSD ...
