Topic	Is it right to do this with the bible?

I was thinking about wine in the bible and alcohol being a sin to some denominations I don't think the Bible says alcohol is a sin, drunkenness is the sin. Growing up Methodist the church discouraged alcohol in a better safe than sorry sort of way against alcoholism. A pastor of mine actually had issues with my dad drinking but it was because he used it as an excuse to never be home. Even so dad was never excommunicated from the church or refused communion (not that he went much anyway). --- Beware the fanatic!
