Are we finally seeing the unraveling of the Republican Party? I've never seen this big of a break away from Trumpism. A year ago Gym would've pushed his weight around much easier than this.

It's not super common for a political party in the states to both be run by a cult of personality and lose massive amounts of ground three election cycles in a row. Trump gave Rs a trifecta in 2016 and if they lose in 2024 it'll be the fourth time in a row Trump cost them political leverage.

They are very much so tearing at the seams. The only things keeping them tethered together at all is A: they have a good chance of winning the senate in 2024 and B: Biden is a weak incumbent. They have hope of retaking power, but if they lose that, I don't see how the party doesn't collapse outside of the state level.
