At least in terms of US congress there is total bipartisan support for aid to Israel. This In the USA, most elected officials support Israel. For people who have no consequences politically, there's support for Palestinians because how they're treated by Israel. Think about this, in the USA, a person (usually) learns that the colonizers ruined the lives for the peoples already there. Why wouldn't the same logic apply in other parts of the world, especially when the consequences are clear and present?
