Ask yourself if you genuinely want a girlfriend. Do you feel like you're trying to have a girlfriend because of external pressures and that it's what society, family, friends, and co-workers expect of you, or because it's genuinely what you want right now?

Take some time to think about it. Also maybe change the type of person you're looking for. Maybe you're going after an ideal that isn't really your "type".
