Ask yourself if you genuinely want a girlfriend. Do you feel like you're trying to have a girlfriend because of external pressures and that it's what society, family, friends, and co-workers expect of you, or because it's genuinely what you want right now?

Take some time to think about it. Also maybe change the type of person you're looking for. Maybe you're going after an ideal that isn't really your "type".

I've had four "proper" girlfriends, but every time it was just coincidence and circumstance. The only consistent factors have been being friends, then having Deep Talks and being closer friends, and then I'm like "hey why aren't we banging"

uh i'm confused at how else we're supposed to do our mating calls

Im in grad school rn but there are. No prospects in my class and Im in my last year on clinical rotations so thats pretty much a no go. In a different city and Ive been going out every weekend but once again, hard to find anyone worthy who stays interested. And the one girl I saw at the club that happened to be a nurse where I do my rotation flaked twice in a row.
