I've never had enough discipline for a six pack. Even when I was in amazing shape, I just loved sugar too much.
Yeah, sugar will do that. It's a real b**** too, because you can be strong and healthy and active and in shape, but the extra sugar puts that little bit of fat over your abs. I'm very passionate about health/fitness and I have helped a ton of people with this kind of stuff, and a surprisingly large amount of them are just that, in great shape but they drink tons of soda for example.
I fortunately have the genetics where I have abs almost no matter what. Combine that with a great program of excellent nutrition and lifting, and the results are insane.
I got a little carried away. Basically what I'm saying is, you can do it! It's never really too late.
I have all sorts of equipment at my house... Free weights, a Bowflex, an elliptical, and a rowing machine. Unfortunately, I also have excuses :P
The most difficult part for me is honestly gaining muscle mass. If I stop working out for even a few weeks, everything I gain basically wastes away. Consistency in eating habits is definitely more important than anything.
