Because the only people that regularly end up in the news for anything are people in the entertainment industry and politicians, and politicians generally have the good sense to recognize that publicly proclaiming belief in a flat earth would be career suicide. People in the entertainment industry aren't the only ones making these claims, they're just the only ones anyone cares about enough to notice when they do. --- This is my signature.
