It's good enough for me when I'm running a couple desperation blade mages in any case because I treat the other two slots as support roles that rarely see combat. Sometimes I need someone to take a hit for them and it allows me to do it multiple times if necessary. I'd only advocate using it on a ranged nuker for CC and TT.
