Can someone tell how they are "disrespecting the flag" by kneeling? They're disrespecting the flag because the flag represents freedom. In this instance, that particular freedom means that you're free to do what conservatives tell you to do. You're being disrespectful for making conservatives examine just what it means to have freedom. The freedom of speech and the freedom of expression are the cornerstones of our democracy. So express yourself with unbridled loyalty and be free to speak nothing but exalting praise. This is why Trump won, to make America great again. Those NFL players are showing him disrespect for wanting to enact social and institutional changes, as if America wasn't an amazing nation already. "Freedom of speech doesn't protect you from consequences". Isn't that the message today? Do your protests all you want. Kneel all you want.
