He's always been that way. This guy once had a sudden collapse while he was helping my mother eat, just went limp and fell. My mom was terrified, I was freaked out when she called me. My dad? He got up, called an ambulance for himself, got all my mom's medications for the night and morning out and organized with a note so I'd know what to give her and when, and printed off a list of people to call regarding his pension, funeral arrangements and so on in case he died.
