And their current counter is "what about bro players?!??"...the league and the owners support what they're doing. They have no issue with the players exercising their free speech on the field before games. Spencer can go find a venue that feels the same about him. Universities in Ohio aren't options for him.

The major difference is Spencer doesn't even work for the schools. If the nfl owners banned kneeling it's something the NFLPA could take up with them...if Ohio bans Spencer he really has no leg to stand on.

Either way neither is a constitutional freedom of speech issue.
