TopicAbout to watch IT in the theater and there's a small child seated close to me

Got into the theatre and was waiting for them to let people in for the screening. Waiting next to me was a youngish parent couple with their boy. He was well past the toddler stage but still a youngster. My guess is probably 5 or 6. He wasn't the most articulate and he had an armful of stuffed animals in tow. I wondered what movie they were waiting for. More people were lined up and waiting, and as they opened the gates for different films, everyone from the back trickled forward and to their theatres.

But not the IT crowd. I saw the family staying put. And I thought "shit, this kid is not gonna have a good time."

We're invited in. The family sits across the aisle from me and one row back. They put their young son in the aisle seat in the row in front of them. Him and his trio of teddies. Getting upset the movie wasn't on. Oh, you sweet young thing.

At this point, I step out of the theater room to use the toilet. Immediately as I exit, a stranger comes up and comments "my cousin saw that movie and it scared the SHIT out of him." He matches my direction and my stride and we walk the hall. "He saw the original, that scared him, but not as much as this one"

"Yeah, it looks like a pretty intense one," I say. "There's a little kid in the theater, I think he's not gonna like being so scared."

"SHIT he's gonna be real fuckin' scared. Poor kid. Not for kids!"

"Yeah man!"

We part ways as quickly as we met, his path leading to American Made as I made my way into the bathroom. Business was done and this topic was made. If only the movie time went so well...
