Back into the theatre, in the seat, waiting patiently for the show time. This theatre is notorious for starting late and tonight didn't disappoint. The seats had filled up a bit and the boy was moved back next to his mother so some group of adults could sit together. At least he was near a parent for when shit went bad. And yes, it went bad.

Georgie was older than this boy, most definitely. But not by too many years. Maybe the boy saw a little of Georgie in himself. Maybe he looked up to Georgie. It's hard to say.

When Georgie got bit by Pennywise, it started. The very upset sounds from that child. It was soft at that point. Shocked and not deeply wounded, but afraid. What would come? Yet that crying was present in the air, mingling with the laughter that carried through the sewer drainpipes. Initially, I thought it was more child sounds in the movie soundtrack, but it was not. It was that poor boy .

Given how tame that intro part was in the movie, yeah, things got worse. That boy did not like any of the scenes in the bathroom. Especially the one where Bev waiting in the shower knocks her father in the head and leaves. That one had him doing a sad little wail into his mom's shoulder. His hat was pulled over his eyes and he was curled up crying.

Even if it wasn't for the very graphic, shocking violence at parts, this is a terrible idea for young ones for the language. Like yeah it's funny for adults to watch child stars say it, but when your 5 year old starts calling people motherfucker and talking about his dick it won't go so well.

It was an immensely terrible movie for that boy to be brought to. He did not have a good time. As everyone was leaving, I overheard the father say to the mother "I bet he's scared of clowns now." The boy weakly said "nooooo I'm not." with tears on his face. His parents laughed at him.

I just feel bad for that child, really. It didn't ruin my moviegoing experience (that kid kept it quiet I will give him credit there). It was sad to see parents treating a child that way.
