Exercise self-control and try to think from the perspective of the girl instead if you find it difficult to stop yourself. Think about her feelings on the matter and the potential awkward situation you'd put her through. Is it worth it? Is it good to put her through that? Often times, people are too self-absorbed and do not think of the others they'd affect.
