I can't speak for Toto, but what I was reacting to was how PiOverlord said he was planning on asking the girl out despite the awkward circumstances. I actually found out that she would be fired for dating a resident today (or well, yesterday since midnight has passed). I was never going to actually ask her out, it was mainly me being stupid.
