If you lack the social skills to read the environment, then making romantic advances in places that aren't explicitly social is selfish and rude, yes.

Speaking of Rude, I like how you automatically assumed that I "lacked the social skills" when I was simply asking a question for the sake of curiosity.

That being said dated a girl once because I asked for her number while she was my waitress. Must have been so selfish and rude.

Oh and I am married now so I must have some social skills. (Not to the same girl though)

Your social skills might be just fine but you apparently lack the reading comprehension to realize that was a general rule of thought and not specifically a shot at you.
