Topic	Just saw Blade Runner 2049. My thoughts, no spoilers.
Corrupt_Power 10/10/17 3:36:37 AM #1:	Interesting. Not mind blowing or awe inspiring. But really damn good. Strongly recommend watching the first one soonish beforehand. You don't need to remember every detail, but it does reference back to the first one, and sometimes with no explanation. Very long (almost 3 hours, but fills the time well), and a very, very slow burn. Almost old-school noir pacing. Sound design is intentionally jarring, and LOUD, to drive the dystopian feel. Think Inception "bwaaaaah", cranked up even louder, with heavy 80's style sci-fi distortion. All in all, really fucking good, but I also completely understand why it's bombing in the box office.
