I don't think after the switch there will be an exclusively portable system, but I think the concept of that they have pioneered will endure, and be copied by others. Eh, Sony has basically forfeited the handheld market to Nintendo. They're fine with that for now while they're the undisputed winner of the console war. And yes, the Switch is essentially a handheld with an HDMI out. Marketed as a "home console first" to justify charging the same for games as the PS4/Xbone/PC. You may use it almost exclusively as a home console, but that doesn't make it one or the other. For it to be a true hybrid, the dock needed to have hardware to boost the Switch capabilities, but it does not, it's a $90 plastic cable organizer. --- The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him.
