Topic | Why haven't people learned the laws for recording people in public? |
hollow_shrine 10/12/17 10:34:45 AM #7: | These laws differ from state to state, and have all kinds of stipulations. In some states you need permission to post pictures of people if their faces are visible, and people can request that you obscure their likeness before you publish any footage you shoot of them. That may change from place to place depending on what they're doing when they're caught on camera. Marching the streets is one thing, but talking shots of people just in public is another, especially if someone stands to make money off of it. Then there's the question of court admissibility. Whether or not recordings made without one party's knowledge can be used in a court of law. --- https://i.imgtc.com/zyQ3oRW.jpg 15 Transwomen of color have been murdered since 1/1/2017 ...
