I guess you could say the two activities CAN be 100% independent, but that makes no sense. No one on the internet is 100% a character, and definitely not on this board where everyone have been around 10+ years and 50% of the board knows each others real names and such. Even back in the days of original low stakes nonsense trolling, you always wore yourself on your sleeve when trying to troll. The modern alt-right is literally shitposters who forgot that what they are saying is a joke, and now they believe it religiously.

And this is all ignoring the fact that his "very different" online persona is also almost exactly like his IRL self - a cop from NYC who likes video games and sports and all that.

Is Tim really the one guy on the internet who has such mastery over his own mind and online persona that he is able to maintain such a perfect 180 degree separation between these super similar personas and avoid all the issues?
