I'm sorry you feel like you must identify with a group of people just because of the way you were born.

I am genuinely sorry about this. It is an incredibly heavy shackle to carry around your whole life, and it's not your fault. Society asks: why wouldn't you want to fall in line and be beholden to the elite straight white male club that has so many privileges? Society has stolen your individuality in exchange for those privileges. A poor immigrant is forced to build a strong sense of individuality as a means of survival, but you have to go against centuries of deeply-ingrained elitism to even have a CHANCE of regaining your individuality.

You ARE free to make that choice whenever you want though. You CAN choose to separate yourself from your sex, your race, your whatever. Your individuality is there, just practice it little by little. It's hard and it will take time, but it's soooooo worth it to not feel attacked for no reason 24/7 (and it's not something money can buy).

I think this issue is a great exercise to start with: Try looking a Me Too status and imagine the actual, real individual who was responsible for the sexual assault, and focus closely on how it was not you. Once you establish a solid image in your head that is not you, move on to the next status and repeat.

Part of the issue is it also says harassed.... I could therefore put "me too" as well, I'm not going to as that takes away from people actually assaulted or raped who have far more claim to any of this. I'll suffice it to say they aren't the same thing. And shouldn't be on the same post.

Also not really. I "sexually harass" (ie, flirt with) women constantly. It's harmless and they enjoy it because they aren't repulsed by me. It's pretty ironic that these "enlightened" women still draw the line between harassment and flirtation/courting at physical appearance.

But it does. You still "survived" the encounter. Rape/murder isn't common, but certainly a thing. No one has EVER died from sexual harassment. In history. You don't survive being told you have a nice rack at work. It's wrong, dude should be suspended/fired, but it's not an act you had to "survive" even in the remotest.

I WILL however use this opportunity to share what a good friend of mine posted today because she wasn't raped (at least she didn't talk about it here) and I'll let you guys try to convince yourselves that harassment isn't serious.

Since I grew boobs at the young age of nine. Old men making lewd comments about a 10 year olds body gets seared into your brain. This continued until high school, college, work until I got my breast reduction. I still cant make peace with my body after its been sexualized since I was still in the single digits.

Just crossing the street from my nanas house to the middle school dressed for a hot Arizona summers day, a car literally SCREECHES to a halt besides me and asks if I want a ride. I thought I was about to get kidnapped. One of the scariest moments of my life.

Being followed for blocks at a time and into businesses when trying to get away. Being non-consensually humped and having my ass slapped in front of other people as a funny joke. Being unable to walk without getting honked at or having lewd comments yelled out of windows (in certain parts of the world, Canada is especially non-problematic about sexual harassment when compared actually).

I dont know what runs through guys heads but it makes me afraid to go out on my own.
