Then it was nothing but a barrage of a million questions concerning the incident, how she knew the rapist, etc reliving the experience every single day for months. It was horrible. At the end of it all, she wishes she didn't report it because of how traumatizing constantly reliving the worst experience of her life in excruciating details followed by constant accusations she was lying was. I absolutely understand why women don't report or take a long time to report. I don't think it is asking too much to understand why this might be the case.

....which is why I said the women who go through what you describe are courageous, not the people posting in a trend on twitter. That was my entire point.

And yes I know a lot of people, men included, who have dealt with this or are still dealing with it. My church does a lot of volunteer work with addicts and the stories Ive heard are horrible. There is a huge difference between dealing with it in person and posting two words on a social media web site.
