I just wanted to say that maybe the comic book and the previous seasons of the show had strong themes, but recently, the show basically has no thematic substance whatsoever.

It used to be about a changing world, about morality and ethics, about how people have changed, contrasted with who they used to be, how far they'll go, etc.

Now it's just about a random bad guy who's really bad and they gotta beat him and teamwork yay.

The show is terrible. It used to be better, but the comic was always a better told story.
