You'll feel nothing during it, and a little sting afterwards for a few hours, but it's nothing compared to the pain of the tooth dying. Last year I had a surprise root canal because the pain was unbearable. I called the place at 7 am and they got me in for 11. The pain was building up for a few days, but that day, couldn't do it.
