And they only ever ask me. Just as bad is the "Where are you from?" question that same demographic always asks me. What they really want to know is my ethnicity, but they know it's rude and weird to ask that but then essentially ask it anyway. I always lead those people around, because after I say I'm from PA, then they ask where my parents are from, then my grandparents, then my GREAT grandparents.
