I think you'll find that the Pope is against gay marriage and abortion I asked him and he said you should chill and focus on the things Christ actually preached about So, you're one of these people who thinks that Jesus is some totally chill hippie who doesn't judge and is cool with you doing whatever you want to do as long as it makes you feel good. Only based on the New Testament So, in the New Testament, Jesus didn't tell people to repent of their sins and try to become better people? He didn't tell them to deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Him? Yeah he told them to become better people and he also said "he who is without sin cast the first stone" his way of teaching wasn't about being cruel to others and hurting them. So when someone is gay, which may or may not be a sin, not gonna get into it, and others are discriminating against them, they themselves are sinning. Jesus basically was preaching to love everyone as he loves them. The only people he got pissed off about were those preaching hate in his God's name. Everyone else was just trying to find their way in the world and he knew that. The bible is more then just a code you have to follow. They are stories your supposed to learn from. Yes they did have a giant rule book at one point but do you know why it was made? Because they had no rules to live as a civilisation, his word wasn't supposed to be forever it was just a way to get them started. The bible is important but following GOD is more important and learning to really connecting with him is what matters most. GOD and Jesus are more then a book, no matter how holy that book is.
