So basically yes, if you don't claim a body, you don't have to pay for it, either the person who died will from their estate if they have one, or the goverment (probably the state actually) will. As far as I know, there are no places in the US where a funeral home (or hospital that uses one) can go after relatives for cremation expenses unless they have authorized the cremation and or want to receive the ashes. --- Proud member of the Arv The Great is great fan club!!!
