I have no real desire to collect furniture or decorate because space is so cramped and because being able to craft all the furniture is way less fun than slowly accumulating it through unique purchases and trades. The main gameplay loop revolves around picking up a bunch of random crap to give to people so they'll be friends with you, then using your quest rewards to craft furniture to appeal to the ungrateful ingrates. Why? So they'll visit your camp. Which doesn't really do anything!
